Leilani Durand - NE/Mid Atlantic Transition to Organic Partnership Program Director
Leilani Durand is Program Director for the USDA TOPP program at PCO (the Transition to Organic Partnership Program), supporting farmers in the Northeast/MidAtlantic region who are interested in transitioning to organic or in learning more about organic production and markets. Leilani grew up on an organic farm in southwestern Wisconsin and has over 20 years’ experience in biological and organic farming. She has a background in sustainable and organic soil fertility and cropping systems, and fertilizer research. Leilani has a master’s degree in Plant Ecophysiology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is passionate about supporting resilient ecosystems and farming systems. In her free time, she enjoys cycling in the beautiful Wisconsin hills and hiking with her family.
