This role is well-suited for individuals with experience in farming, food safety, or regulatory compliance. Contract Organic Inspectors observe the organic production and handling practices of farms or businesses and report on compliance with the USDA National Organic Standards.

PCO Contract Inspector scope-of-work requirements:
Conduct NOP organic inspections as a qualified inspector
Write and submit organic inspection reports using the Intact system
Complete all work in a timely manner and in accordance with PCO policies and procedures
Communicate clearly, effectively, and promptly
Travel regionally and/or nationally
Remain current on NOP and PCO regulations, policies, procedures, and other updates

If selected, you will be engaged as an independent 1099 contractor, not a W-2 employee.
