Originally from the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, Heidi earned her degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Minnesota. She has more than 10 years of experience working with state and federal departments of agriculture, where she has helped protect U.S. agriculture from invasive species. She has also worked as a contract organic crop inspector, conducting inspections throughout the Southeast. Outside of work, Heidi enjoys spending time with her son, hiking, swimming, and gardening.
